Join me in London

From Jamaica to London, that's where we are going today. A few months ago one of my best friends from back home was visiting. We did the whole tourist thing and went on the open top bus. The price of the ticket also included a boat trip down the Thames. You will have to excuse some of the pics, my camera was brand new out the box I took it out with no instructions read. Half way through the day I found the zoom lol! We were very lucky that day we had sun and it was April! For July at the moment we have none!!!!!
....................
The first pic above is Tower Bridge. See how dirty the river looks? Well I learned on the commentary from the boat that it is actually very clean yet the mud from the bottom rises to make it look so dirty. Below is another angle of the bridge.

Above we have Shakespeares Globe theatre

Big Ben
The London Eye- fabulous views from here my mum and I went on it once

Houses of Parliament

Westminster Abbey

Trafalgar Square with The National Gallery in the background
....................
Since I have learned more about my camera and would know how to take the pictures with the zoom and missing peoples heads off all the edges hahahahahah!
....................
London holds many memories for me. When I was young every year from the ages of 4-7 my Mum and Dad would take us for a few days every summer. We would go shopping, visit museums, parks, galleries, theatres. Every year I used to look forward to this I think it's where my love of London comes from which is how I've ended up here. I still have a huge love for the city. One day I will pick up some pics from back home of us in London back then and show them!
....................
It's just a short posting today, I'm off to pack my bag now as I'm heading back home for the weekend, travelling up tomorrow.
....................
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and I'll be back when I return

This really brings all sorts of memories back to me from our visit to London. We did the bus ride, went up in to Tower Bridge, Tower of London,Buckingham Palace, boat on the Thames...Westminster...all of it. I LOVED it. I loved taking the tube and wandering about. So much still we didn't see, museums we didn't see. So of course when we return we will do those things.
Thank you for sharing these photos and it will be fun to see the ones of you all as a family - what great memories for you. We were there in July when we went and they were experiences one the hottest summers in years.(figures)
Have a great weekend home dear Sweetpea. Safe travels.
Love and hugs,
Lisa

Maybe one day I will get there. Your photos are great. You will have fun learning to use your new camera though. I still think the pictures are good. The tower bridge is something else!

I know you are away - but I am sending lots n lots of hugs and love to you on your special day xoxo I know it will be hard for you but remember - just go and sit in the garden, close your eyes and your mum will be there with you - she will be the dancing light on the leaves, the little faeries at the end of the rock wall at the bottom of the garden.
